radfranciscans: This painting is a reflection on the times that we, like the Biblical woman with the hemorrhage, reach out of hopelessness to somehow touch the fringe of the garment of the Holy One. From the roots of our being our spirit pleads to be healed by a power much greater than ours. Our deep fear of the endless outflow of lifeblood can only be met by the stretching in faith to the ever-present mender of hearts whose garment is always within our grasp.
